The 2025 CLA250 comes standard with a 2.0 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that pumps out a respectable 221 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. It's mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and a 48-volt belt-driven starter-generator that increases both performance and efficiency, allowing drivers to have their cake and eat it too.
The 2025 Audi A3 is a formidable opponent however it does not quite stack up. Like the CLA250 it has a 2.0 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder with a similar mild-hybrid setup, albeit with less power. The setup in the Audi only manages to produce 201 horsepower, 20 less than the CLA250, and 236 pound-feet of torque. What's more, the 2025 Audi A3 has a seven-speed transmission compared to eight in the CLA250.
